Topi Tjukanov has taken inspiration from Heikki Vesanto's "Every Person in Scotland Mapped" to create his own version for the Finnish population.
Heikki Vesanto's map won the 2016 Ordnance Survey Open Data award and now Topi's map has gone on to win the general category within the Finnish Cartographic Society Map Challenge 2016
The map represents the distribution of population in Finland.
A set of random points has been created within the building polygons inside a postal code area based on the population of the area. Thus all postal code areas have as many points as there are inhabitants.
Well done Topi from everyone at the British Cartographic Society
